Stove operated incorrectly: kitchen on fire in St. Johann

A kitchen fire broke out in a detached house in St. Johann im Unterland at around 11.30 a.m. on Saturday. It ended relatively lightly thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire department.

According to the police, the 72-year-old homeowner probably used the stove incorrectly. This caused the fire in the kitchen. Fortunately, the alerted fire department was able to intervene in time and quickly extinguish the flames on the second floor.

Heavy smoke development
The fire had already produced a lot of smoke and heat. Fortunately, there were no injuries and the amount of damage is not yet known.
