Operation in teenage flat share

Teenager (14) threatened police with a weapon

On Thursday afternoon, the police in Vienna-Penzing were alerted after a teenager (14) threatened to harm herself in a shared teenage flat. On arrival, she then attacked an officer.

A caretaker of a hostel alerted the police at around 6 pm. A 14-year-old girl had previously broken a glass in the bathroom and threatened to harm herself. However, the girl became extremely aggressive when the police arrived.

Service weapon snatched
She first began to threaten the officers. A little later, she then attacked one of the police officers and grabbed the service weapon. Fortunately, the officers managed to restrain the girl and snatch the weapon from her to prevent anything worse from happening.

Police officer slightly injured
The police officer was slightly injured in the attack after being scratched by the girl during the operation. The 14-year-old was taken to hospital due to her aggressive behavior and the danger to herself and others.
