Lots of runs in Vienna

Get into your sneakers and out into nature - these running events await the Viennese in the near future 

Even though the heat is not over yet, there are still plenty of runs waiting for the Viennese over the next few weeks:

• At the Business Run on September 5, 31,000 people will run across the Danube Island. Length: 4.3 kilometers. A few remaining places (teams of 3) are still available in the Nordic Walking competition in the starting block at 20:15.

• No matter how far and fast you run, hop or cycle - anyone can take part in the Red Nose Run: whether as an amateur or professional runner, with a wheelchair, baby carriage or on foot. On September 8 on the Prater Hauptallee.

• Vienna Night Run: The Erste Bank Vienna Night Run will take place again on September 26, 2024. The focus is not on chasing minutes and seconds, but on the fun of doing sports together. Amidst the beautiful night-time backdrop of the magnificent Ringstrasse.

• Europe's oldest continuous road race, the International Vienna High Road Run, takes place on October 5 over a distance of 14.3 kilometers.

• On October 13, the 35th Kahlenberglauf will also require plenty of stamina. Over a distance of 8.4 kilometers, the runners have to master 490 meters in altitude uphill. This is also where the Vienna Mountain Running Championships take place.
