Two burglars who ravaged the villa of a former politician and businessman in Upper Austria are facing up to 15 years in prison. They have confessed, but the trial will be exciting because the alleged instigator denies everything. Incidentally, the loot was less than the princely "consultancy fee".
Because the professional criminals had left traces of DNA, the two main perpetrators could be tracked down - two other accomplices are still on the run and the loot has also disappeared. Whether the tipster from Ried im Innkreis received any of the loot will probably not be clarified at the trial next Thursday at Ried Regional Court. The 30-year-old denies everything, while the burglars have basically confessed.
