Boy (2) falls from climbing frame at Schönbrunn Zoo

On Wednesday afternoon, a two-year-old boy fell from a climbing frame at Schönbrunn Zoo. He probably fell around two meters and hit his head, according to the Vienna Rescue Service.

He suffered serious head injuries and had to be resuscitated. The Christophorus 9 rescue helicopter took the toddler to the shock room of a hospital.

According to the police, the boy's mother set the rescue chain in motion immediately after the accident. Several teams then went to Vienna's Schönbrunn Zoo to care for the child. The boy, who will be three years old in autumn, is believed to have fallen around two meters.
