Arsonist strikes in Großwalsertal

On Wednesday night, a pile of wood went up in flames in the municipality of St. Gerold in Vorarlberg's Großwalsertal. Fortunately, the fire was noticed by a local resident just in time to prevent it spreading to a wood shed. The police suspect arson.

Shortly after midnight, a 56-year-old man on his way home discovered the burning pile of wood next to an uninhabited wooden shed and immediately alerted the fire department.

The firefighters were subsequently able to extinguish the fire quickly. The police suspect deliberate arson. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Thuringia police station.
