Another stabbing in Favoriten: Arrest!

It is already the second knife attack in Vienna-Favoriten this week: After a 30-year-old man was stabbed on Monday night - his life is currently in danger - the next attack took place at 4.20 p.m. on Keplerplatz. The suspect was arrested. 

The victim is said to have tried to settle an argument between a 34-year-old Syrian and other people in the afternoon. He was slightly injured by the Syrian with a knife. The suspect was immediately arrested by the officers called to the scene.

Victim released into home care
In the course of the arrest, it emerged that the 34-year-old had an outstanding arrest warrant from the Vienna public prosecutor's office. The victim was released into home care after receiving emergency medical treatment from the ambulance service. The alleged perpetrator denies the crime and was taken to the correctional facility. 

It was only on Monday night that the argument between two groups in Arthaberpark in Favoriten escalated. A 30-year-old man was stabbed in the incident. His life is in danger with chest, neck, leg, shoulder and abdominal injuries.
