Real Madrid have taken the next step towards the title in the Spanish soccer championship with their fourth league win in a row. 

The "royals" defeated Real Mallorca 1-0 on Saturday without the Austrian star David Alaba, who is still injured in his knee, and extended their lead over FC Barcelona to eleven points, at least for a short time.

The Catalans are still in action at Cadiz in the evening game. Real's only goal was scored by Aurelien Tchouameni (48').

Girona have probably taken themselves out of the title race in Spain for good. The Catalans lost 3-1 at Atletico Madrid in the 31st La Liga round on Saturday. Antoine Griezmann was the match-winner for the Rojiblancos with a brace.
