ORF now appoints new editorial managers

ORF is pressing ahead with the restructuring of its information department and has announced new personnel decisions.

Irina Oberguggenberger has been appointed Editorial Director Social Media, Julia Ortner Editorial Director ORF.at, Matthias Schmelzer Editorial Director Radio News and Current Teletext and Helene Voglreiter Editorial Director TV News/Video/Verification. They will all take up their new positions on April 1.

In addition, ORF Topos head Gerald Heidegger will be responsible for the conception of multimedia special formats and online-only formats. ORF Director General Roland Weißmann: "With their new impulses and top-dedicated teams, the four editorial directors will further perfect news production in ORF's new multimedia newsroom."
