Fire department came to the rescue
Another child trapped in a tree rescued
Climbing is apparently all the rage right now! Once again, firefighters in Upper Austria had to rescue a child trapped in a tree. On Wednesday, a boy was stuck in a forked branch in a park in the city of Wels. The emergency services rescued him and he was fortunately uninjured in the incident.
Hopefully this won't become a mass phenomenon: Because yet again, a child trapped in a tree had to be freed by the fire department.
After - as reported - a nine-year-old boy was helplessly trapped with his knee on a willow tree at a height of three meters in Pasching on Tuesday afternoon, there was a similar operation in Wels on Wednesday.
In Robert-Koch-Park, a child was also stuck with one leg in a forked branch. The boy was no longer able to pull it out on his own. Firefighters called to help were finally able to free him from his precarious position at a height of 1.5 meters.
Saw in action
First the child was stabilized, then a branch was removed with a saw. The boy was relieved to be freed. He was handed over to the Red Cross for further treatment, but probably only suffered a few abrasions during his adventure.
