The Leopoldskroner Weiher in the city of Salzburg is not just a recreational area for people. Many animals also feel right at home there. But Salzburg's deputy mayor, of all people, is causing a stir: The gray geese at the pond have now been ordered to be shot!

Only a handful of the wild geese with the striking orange beak are frolicking around the popular recreational pond in Salzburg, busily searching for food.
