It's getting sporty this Advent: the 23rd Austrian Theater Sports Championships are taking place at the Posthof. Two top stars from FC Blau-Weiß Linz have finalized the pairings that will compete against each other from 4 to 7 December. At the end there will be a trophy for the winners.

There are really only two groups in theater sports: The die-hard fans who even have a subscription, and the newcomers who are newly inspired.

And then there are the real opponents: the best eight Austrian improv theater ensembles compete against each other at the Posthof in Linz. The audience says what has to be performed. And then there is either the green or the red card - until a winning ensemble is determined. This has addictive potential!

That's why the 23rd Theater Sports Championships are taking place this year from 4 to 7 December at the Posthof. The first push was made by the Blau-Weiß players Simon Pirkl and Karla Jedvaj. The two of them drew lots for the opponents in the quarter-final rounds.

In total, the ensembles Theater im Bahnhof (Graz), Die Impropheten (Linz), Die Zebras (Linz), N20 (Attnang-Puchheim), die Dritten (Vienna), die Bachstelzen (Vienna), Peekaboo (Vienna) and the English Lovers will compete against each other at the Posthof. The "Krone", which presents the theater sports championships, is also keeping its fingers crossed in the fierce battle for a place on the podium.
