Mountain biking and Burgenland? What sounds like a contradiction is not! Because with the Burgenland Trails, mountain bikers will find a sensational trail network around the highest mountain in Austria's easternmost province.

At 884 meters high, the Geschriebenstein is certainly not considered a mountain by many western Austrians who are used to three thousand meter peaks. Nevertheless, from the lookout tower on the much-visited and highest peak in Burgenland, you have an often underestimated but sensational view across the Pannonian Plain all the way to the Alps.
