“Divorce”! Seidl/Pristauz go their separate ways

Austria's beach volleyball duo Robin Seidl and Moritz Pristauz are going their separate ways from the coming season!

After narrowly failing to qualify for the Olympics, both suffered injuries and are now ending their partnership as world number 27. They want to continue in 2025 with as yet unknown new partners. Their greatest successes were Challenge tournament victories in Goa and Nuvali.

"I think now is a good time!"
"I look back with a smile and a tear in my eye. On the one hand, we have celebrated many successes, so the joy outweighs the sadness. On the other hand, it's a shame that we didn't manage to qualify for the Olympics, our big goal. I think now is a good time to start a new project," said Pristauz.

"I've made a new friend in Mo!"
Seidl was also happy about what he had achieved, but also disappointed about missing out on the Olympics. "It's a shame that our goal didn't work out by two places. Nevertheless, it was a cool experience. I've made a new friend in Mo." Seidl now wants to focus on Los Angeles 2028.
