Barbara Bozek gave birth to little Lina on August 7. Luckily, she was healthy, because the Public Employment Service stressed her out. She is one of the mothers in Lower Austria who was suddenly and surprisingly asked to pay back a five-figure sum. "I didn't do anything wrong," she says to "Krone". Krone readers are familiar with the fact that mothers in Lower Austria in particular have suddenly been hit by demands for repayment of their training allowance from the Public Employment Service Austria (AMS) and even had their social insurance cut. The 32-year-old Barbara Bozek was one of the first "victims of this arbitrariness", as the network of affected mothers repeatedly puts it.
