ÖVP continues to lose support with new Gswb boss

The Salzburg city government is tipping the scales for the appointment of Ferdinand Hochleitner. It is inviting the designated boss of Gswb to a meeting on Wednesday - but probably only for formality's sake. Behind the scenes, it is likely that the deposed Upper Austrian housing boss has been given the nod.

The city government returned from its vacation break on Monday with very diplomatic words. Mayor Bernhard Auinger was quoted in a press release as saying that the new Gswb managing director would not be given a clean bill of health, nor would he be condemned. However, in order to discuss the "things" that have not been dealt with in advance, the former Upper Austrian housing boss, who most recently worked in Upper Austria, will be invited to a meeting on Wednesday.
