Slipped on a rock and crashed: woman dead!

Another tragedy has occurred in the Tyrolean mountains! A 26-year-old German woman lost her balance at Ellmauer Halt on Thursday afternoon and fell to her death.

Above the Gruttenhütte on the Gamsangersteig in the municipality of Ellmau (district of Kufstein), the 26-year-old woman from Bavaria slipped on a stone shortly before 1 pm, lost her balance and fell over the edge of the path.

"The German woman slipped a few meters on steep grassy terrain interspersed with stones and then fell around 100 meters through very steep rocky terrain," according to the police. She died at the scene of the accident.
