Souvenir in comic style: the new Linzer Torte design tin with the composer's likeness is perfect for the Bruckner Year 2024. The popular collector's item will be available in a limited edition from September 4.

The Linzer Torte is not only a sweet temptation, but also a cult souvenir. Every year it is given new packaging, a designer tin box. This year, of course, it features Anton Bruckner, but drawn like a cartoon character.

The Upper Austrian artist Sarah Braid, who designed this colorful packaging, admits: "We don't actually know whether Bruckner liked to eat Linzer Torte. But my design shows him indulging in a slice during a break from composing. This elicits a smile from him, which is something you rarely see in historical portraits of him."

Marie-Louise Schnurpfeil, head of tourism in Linz, says: "A convincing modern Bruckner illustration." This is the tenth time that tourism and nine selected confectioners have worked together on this special souvenir.

A souvenir for the whole world
"With the art tin for the Bruckner Year, our guests have a beautiful souvenir to take home, which is available in many places in Linz thanks to this collaboration," says Dieter Recknagl, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Linz Tourismus.

It is expected that the cult cake in "Bruckner's birthday tin" will become a coveted collector's item. A total of 8000 pieces will be available from September 4.
