Lifesavers pull guest out of the floods of the Steißbach stream

Christoph Hafele and his cousin Stephen Nettles showed absolute courage during the storm in St. Anton on Friday. They saved an Italian vacationer from death at the risk of their own lives.

The Italian was staying with his family in Christoph Hafele's (39) apartment building in the Moos district. The guest had brought his car to safety at the beginning of the storm and wanted to cross the road back to the apartment building - probably too late - which was already flooded with water.
