Amras tunnel reopened after firefighting operation

A car fire in the Amras enclosure of the Inntal highway in Innsbruck caused major traffic disruptions in the Innsbruck area shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday. According to the police, nobody was injured.

For unknown reasons, a car caught fire in the tunnel tube heading west. The police then closed the tunnel in both directions.

Fire quickly extinguished
The extinguishing work was quickly completed, but the car burned out completely. No persons were injured. Shortly before 6.30 p.m., the tunnel was completely open again in the eastbound direction and one lane in the westbound direction.
