Carinthia wants to be cycling country. But the condition of many routes leaves a lot to be desired. Some can even be described as desolate.

Carinthia's reputation as a vacation and cycling destination is in danger. One example of this: 40 Carinthia guests pointed out the desolate cycle path on the northern shore of Lake Ossiach to the state politicians and the mayors of the municipalities of Treffen and Steindorf last summer.
