ÖTV ladies hit the double

Jubilation for the ÖTV ladies Julia Grabher and Tamira Paszek. The two Dornbirn women both reached the quarter-finals at the ITF tournaments in Turin and Nottingham. For Olympic starter Grabher in particular, this was a great motivational boost at the right time.

For the first time since her wrist surgery last fall, Julia Grabher celebrated two tour victories in a row. Following her 6:4, 7:5 victory over Sofia Rocchetti, the 28-year-old from Dornbirn is through to the quarter-finals of the ITF W35 tournament in Turin (It), where she will face Sierra Solana (Arg/ WTA no. 167).

Tamira Paszek has also reached the quarter-finals at the W60 event in Nottingham (England). The 33-year-old from Dornbirn made short work of her doubles partner Jacqueline Cabaj Awad (Sd), winning 6:2, 6:0 after 73 minutes. Now local hero Sarah Beth Grey awaits.
