Forest roads: Bike trails or workplace?

There are 218,000 kilometers of forest roads in Austria that cyclists would like to use, but are usually not allowed to. This time, "Radkrone" shows the other side and accompanies a transport company on its work in the forest. 

"I'm a cyclist myself and it's clear to me why people want to use forest roads for mountain biking, because you're out in our spectacular nature and are often rewarded with beautiful views," says timber transport company Bruno Reiterer.

The Carinthian and his eight employees are out in the woods almost every day with their reinforced, 510 hp four-wheel drive truck and trailer - and they are anything but alone.
