Great mourning for well-known celebrity tailor

He dressed stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti and Franz Beckenbauer. Even "Wetten, dass...?" anchor Thomas Gottschalk wore his outfits: celebrity tailor Josef "Peppino" Teuschler has died at the age of 91.

Peppino Teuschler had to be colorful and, above all, eye-catching. The fashion designer from Stotzing was known for his unconventional creations, which were also very popular in the celebrity world. Stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti and Franz Beckenbauer counted on tailor-made clothing from Teuschler.

Stotzing as Teuschler's final resting place
Peppino Teuschler passed away peacefully on Tuesday at the age of 91. The funeral will take place on June 25 (5 pm) in the parish church of Stotzing. There will also be an opportunity to say goodbye in person from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.

Strong ties to Burgenland
The star cutter was also always deeply connected to his home community of Stotzing in Burgenland, where he was also the founder of the soccer club and the tennis club. For his tireless efforts, he was made an honorary citizen of Stotzing in 1987. Although Teuschler had lived in Vienna for many years, he was always drawn back to his home town.
