Unknown man stabs victim several times in the back

A 22-year-old man was attacked with a knife by an unknown man in the Ottakring district of Vienna on Saturday night. The victim was stabbed several times in the back. The investigation is ongoing.

When the police were called to Brunnengasse at around 2.45 a.m., the injured man was lying on the ground with several stab wounds. The Vienna Professional Rescue Service provided initial emergency medical care. The injured man was then taken to hospital. There is no danger to life, an interrogation was not yet possible.

Knife seized
The suspected murder weapon, a 31-centimeter knife, was seized next to the victim. Investigations revealed that there had probably been an argument between two groups at Yppenplatz before the knife attack. The search for the perpetrator is in full swing.

Argument escalates in a bar in Graz
On Sunday night, an argument between two men escalated in a bar in Graz. A stranger seriously injured a 43-year-old man in the face with a knife. The perpetrator is still being sought in this case too.
