Injured in attack on Russian border region

The Russian authorities have again reported a Ukrainian airstrike on the Belgorod border region. One woman had suffered an injury to her spine. However, there are doubts about this account - on the part of both warring parties.

In the regional capital of the same name, around two dozen houses and a power line are said to have been damaged. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the air defense launched 25 missiles over the region, which were fired by the Ukrainian army. The attacks on Belgorod were recently intensified. According to Russian reports, 15 people were killed on Sunday when parts of a block of flats collapsed after the building was hit by debris from missiles (see video above).

Tochka-U missiles cause other damage
The Ukrainian army says it wants to hit the infrastructure supplying the Russian troops and speaks of a reaction to the countless attacks by the enemy. However, some observers have doubts about this claim. For example, the Ukrainian Totschka-U missiles that the Russian authorities are talking about would usually cause different damage to that seen in photos and videos. There has not yet been an official reaction from Ukraine.

Russia's border region is repeatedly under fire. However, the casualties and damage are not comparable to the consequences of the war in Ukraine itself. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military claimed to have intercepted 18 Russian attack drones on Tuesday night. They were shot down over the Kiev region and the eastern regions on the front line, among others.
