E-bike rider (72) dies after crash with car

A tragic accident occurred on Sunday afternoon in the district of Korneuburg (Lower Austria). A man crashed his e-bike head-on into a car and died.

At around 4 p.m., a 49-year-old woman was driving a car on the LB4 in the municipality of Goldgeben in the district of Korneuburg, coming from Stockerau in the direction of Horn. At the same time, a 72-year-old man was also riding his electric bicycle on Schulstraße, coming from Zissersdorf in the direction of LB4. 

Fatal injuries
The e-biker crossed the main road, which resulted in a serious crash with the car, the police reported on Sunday. The 72-year-old suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
