Beast of Rohrbach:
“I killed, now I’m a star”
He was a mama's boy. He hated his looks. He didn't have a job. He couldn't find a girlfriend. He felt like a failure. And at some point he began to imagine what it would be like to kill women. He liked these daydreams. And then he turned his horrific fantasies into reality.
When Bernhard F. arrived at a police station in Rohrbach, Upper Austria, in the early evening of March 22, he first had to wait.
Like several other residents of the community, the 25-year-old had been summoned by the CID for a "formal interrogation" that day. The officers hoped that he or one of the other people might have some kind of clue that could be decisive in solving a gruesome criminal case.
Daydreams became reality in 2010
Six days earlier, a terrible crime had been committed in the tranquil little town: Andrea F., an early retired teacher, had been killed in her apartment. An as yet unknown perpetrator had throttled and stabbed the 47-year-old to death. And then desecrated her body.
