After drug accident
Obertrum family faces possible repercussions
No poisoning, but an overdose - the family from Flachgau in Salzburg will probably have to face charges. However, they will probably be spared the costs of the operation - including the emergency helicopter.
The fog is slowly clearing around a family of six from Obertrum - the "Krone" reported. On Monday evening, the Flachgau family had to be taken to hospital by emergency doctor. They complained of nausea and dizziness. For a long time, it was not clear where their symptoms of poisoning came from. Was it gas or carbon monoxide, the food or something else entirely?
THC levels elevated in four people
On Wednesday, it was confirmed that it was drugs that had the emergency services scrambling. Four people had elevated THC levels in their blood. The family had probably consumed cannabis before the meal. In what form, whether intentionally or unknowingly, is still unclear. What is clear is that a small child (3) was unharmed.
The family does not have to pay for the deployment of the four dozen emergency services, including the "Christophorus 6" emergency helicopter. However, the police and public prosecutor's office are still investigating. A charge under the Narcotics Act for drug possession is likely.
