How close was Ott to the FPÖ?
The explosive findings on the spy’s cell phone
The next sub-committee files could provide the next exciting insights into the domestic espionage scandal. An edited parliamentary question was discovered on the cell phone of the alleged double agent Egisto Ott, which deals with an explosive case and was ultimately submitted by the FPÖ. What it is about and which former chancellor will soon also have to appear before a sub-committee.
It is a parliamentary question that reads like an agent thriller. In 2015, a former Syrian general suspected of crimes against humanity, genocide and war crimes by Europol is said to have entered Vienna with the help of a partner service and the Federal Office for State Protection and Counterterrorism (BVT). The Syrian "torture general" is said to have been hidden in a small apartment and quickly received a positive asylum decision.
