Tyrolean (19) falls into ravine after party – dead
A terrible accident in the Zemmschlucht gorge in Mayrhofen in Tyrol: after a private party, a 19-year-old boy fell 50 meters into the gorge. He died as a result. This was announced by the Tyrolean police on Monday. The victim comes from the Netherlands.
The 19-year-old Dutchman was living temporarily in Tyrol and attended a private party on Friday. Afterwards, he was walking on the Zillertal Bundesstraße at around 10.50 pm - in complete darkness, according to the police. On the Zemmbach bridge, he is believed to have fallen into the ravine below for unknown reasons.
Police found body, recovered by emergency services
Other visitors to the party later informed the police. They set out to search for the young Dutchman and soon found him dead in the 50-metre-deep Zemmschlucht ravine.
Mountain rescue, water rescue and the fire department had to recover the body of the 19-year-old. A post-mortem examination revealed no evidence of any external cause. According to witnesses, the young man was probably "impaired", a police spokesman said on Monday.
