Cyclist (63) injured on “Bergdoktorrunde” tour

A Tyrolean woman (63) was injured in a fall on her mountain bike in Ellmau on Sunday afternoon. She was out and about with a group on the "Bergdoktorrunde".

The 63-year-old local had set off on the mountain bike tour along the "Bergdoktorrunde" together with her daughter and other companions. The group started in Söll and rode along forest roads to Ellmau and the Hartkaiser. An accident occurred on the last descent of the tour: the 63-year-old fell and injured her face and right wrist. 

The Scheffau mountain rescue team was called out to rescue the injured woman. She was then taken to the district hospital in St. Johann in Tirol.
