Young Tyrolean farmer falls over slope with tractor
This accident could have turned out much worse: A 20-year-old man crashed his tractor 50 meters down a steep slope in Leins (Tyrol) on Friday morning and overturned several times.
The accident occurred in Leins in Arzl in Pitztal at around 11.20 am on Friday. At the time, the 20-year-old local man was spreading manure on a steep field with his tractor. The tractor suddenly started to slide and moved around 50 meters towards the valley. The tractor vehicle overturned twice before coming to a standstill.
Driver was able to free himself
The driver was able to free himself from the wreckage and make an emergency call. After first aid at the scene, he was flown to hospital in Zams, where he was able to leave in the early afternoon - the 20-year-old had only suffered minor injuries.
His tractor, on the other hand, was badly damaged. The Leins volunteer fire department had to rescue it.
