Coach as the key
Will the million-euro new signing have to leave Bayern again?
The early transfer of Bryan Zaragoza to FC Bayern has not turned out to be a win for either side so far. Now the Spaniard could have to leave the record champions again in the summer. However, the new coach could be the decisive factor in this decision.
The 22-year-old was not actually due to move to the Isar until the summer. The ink was already dry on the contract, with the record champions having to transfer 18 million euros to FC Granada. However, the transfer was brought forward in the winter following Kingsley Coman's injury.
So far, a misunderstanding for the player and both clubs. While the Spaniards have lost a key player in the relegation battle, the attacking player is usually only on the bench in Munich or doesn't even make the squad.
New chance or loan?
Zaragoza has not found a connection with coach Thomas Tuchel. The 50-year-old is bothered by the Spaniard's lack of German and English language skills. But Tuchel will leave Munich at the end of the season at the latest and the cards will be reshuffled.
This means that the new coach will also tip the scales in terms of the Spaniard's future. A loan is currently the most likely scenario. The aim is to give the Spaniard the chance to gain match practice and then make a fresh start in Munich.
