Operations due to storm
Tyrol: Tree crashes onto house, first power outages
Gusts of wind, some of them strong, swept across Tyrol on Friday afternoon. During the night into Saturday, the emergency services were already under considerable strain. This is shown by an initial assessment by the Tyrol control center. A tree fell onto a house in the provincial capital.
"From 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon until around 8 a.m. on Saturday, we counted 21 call-outs," said a spokesperson for the Tyrol control center. This does not include operations that the fire departments responded to directly. According to the spokesperson, the hotspot was initially mainly the Innsbruck area. "From the evening onwards, the area around Lake Achensee was also affected. As far as I know, there was also a short-term power outage there."
No people were injured in the incident. However, there was considerable damage to the house.

Luckily, no one was injured in the incident. However, there was considerable damage to the house. The Innsbruck professional fire department removed the fallen tree.
As reported, the state issued a warning on Friday about gale-force winds in Tyrol. These were expected from Saturday to Monday. Up to 120 km/h were expected in the mountains.
