How AUA is preventing a rendezvous in Nice

Many Austrians use the Easter week for a short vacation. However, AUA had to cancel around 400 flights due to the strike. For around 50,000 passengers, however, this is now falling through because of the flight chaos. There is frustration, tears and anger - the "Krone" spoke to those affected.

At Lufthansa subsidiary AUA, around 400 planes will be grounded from tomorrow Thursday until Friday lunchtime. The reason: despite 17 rounds of negotiations, no agreement has yet been reached on a new collective agreement for the approximately 3,500 flight attendants and pilots. As a result, the union has called a one and a half day strike. AUA had to cancel all flights during this period and rebook around 50,000 passengers or refund their tickets.
