David Reinbacher continues his season in North America

Team defenseman David Reinbacher has been called up to North America by the NHL club Montreal Canadiens! 

The 19-year-old from Vorarlberg will now play for Laval Rocket, the Canadiens' farm team in the American Hockey League (AHL), after the end of the season with the Swiss club EHC Kloten.

Number 5 in the NHL draft
Reinbacher was selected No. 5 in the NHL draft by Montreal last June and subsequently signed a three-year contract. However, the ÖEHV team player spent this season with his former club Kloten in the Swiss National League.

He is now moving to Laval, a suburb of Montreal, for the rest of the season. The Rockets are in sixth place in the North Division, three points behind the playoff places, and the basic round ends for Laval on April 20.

Marco Kasper, selected eighth overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 2022, is an Austrian teenager who has been playing in the AHL since the summer, where talented players are prepared for the NHL. His Detroit farm team, the Grand Rapids Griffins, are almost certain to make the playoffs in second place in the Central Division.
