Lawyer Astrid Wagner has now written a book about her relationship with the serial killer. She went to his home town with the "Krone" - and revisited his life story there.

Let's turn back the wheel of time - in our minds - by 30 years. Astrid Wagner, very young, works as a lawyer at the Styrian tenants' association - and has long since entered a world that is completely foreign to her, through her connection to Jack Unterweger. He seems to have nothing at all in common with her, the "daughter of a good family"; he killed a woman in 1974 and received a life sentence for it, but was released in 1990. He, the "Häfnpoet"...
