Another anti-Semitic incident in Vienna

There have been several anti-Semitic incidents in Vienna over the past few days. According to the police, unknown female persons allegedly tried to tear down the Israeli flag of the city temple in the city center on Saturday night. A relevant case had already been reported in the Danube city on Friday ... 

Although the unknown female persons had tried to tear down the Israeli flag of the city temple, the flag was not damaged. The incident is said to have taken place shortly after midnight. 

Leaflets with anti-Semitic content
A few hours later - at around 10.30 a.m. - passers-by also discovered two flyers with anti-Semitic content lying on the street in Hagengasse in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus. "Who created these leaflets is still unknown", according to the Vienna Provincial Police Directorate.

The State Office for State Protection and Counter-Extremism has taken over the investigation. Further investigations into the two cases are underway.

Israel flag spat on and kicked
It was only on Friday that an Israel flag was torn down from a flagpole at the Campus of Religions in Donaustadt by two youths. The suspects are also said to have spat on and kicked the flag. Investigations are also ongoing in this case.
