Government costs have exploded so blatantly

"Whatever the cost!" The government is also living out the motto proclaimed during the pandemic for itself. Turquoise-Green employs a record number of staff. Personnel costs have risen dramatically since the ÖVP took over the chancellorship, according to a parliamentary question submitted to the "Krone" newspaper.

The ÖVP and the Greens have the most expensive government apparatus of all time. While the total costs for the government offices in the coalition of Christian Kern with Reinhold Mitterlehner were still around 25 million euros, they increased by six million euros to 31 million euros in the first year under the Turquoise-Blue coalition.
