After robbery attempt
Caught by police with a bloody knife in his hand
With a bloody knife in his hand, a 44-year-old Bulgarian man wandered drunk through the streets of Vienna-Ottakring on Friday. Police officers were able to arrest the man. As it turned out, he had previously tried to rob a 26-year-old and then injured a 24-year-old with the knife.
The Bulgarian had suddenly threatened the 26-year-old with the folding knife at around 1 p.m. and demanded that he hand over money and valuables. The 24-year-old noticed the attempted robbery and rushed to the victim's aid.
A fight broke out between the 44-year-old and the 24-year-old, and the younger man's hand was injured by the knife.
Stolen cell phone returned to owner
A stolen cell phone was seized from the Bulgarian. He claimed to have bought the cell phone a few days ago from an unknown person. The rightful owner was traced and his cell phone was returned to him.
A breathalyzer test was carried out on the 44-year-old, which revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.1 per mille. The man was taken to a prison.
