Traffic control in Bludenz got completely out of hand

On Thursday, 15 police officers were deployed for traffic checks in Vorarlberg. However, one driver resisted this measure tooth and nail. He injured three police officers, one of them seriously. 

The priority checks were carried out on Thursday in the Feldkirch and Bludenz areas. A total of 170 drivers were tested for alcohol. The result: six people had their driving licenses confiscated on the spot. Seven drivers were reported for alcohol consumption, four for addictive substances. In addition, 22 people were reported for traffic and administrative offenses. One vehicle had to have its license plate removed. 

Aggressive behavior
While most of the people stopped were more or less cooperative, a 33-year-old man was stopped in Bludenz and a riot ensued. The man did not cooperate - on the contrary, he was extremely aggressive towards the officers. After he refused to calm down, he was arrested. During this official act, the rabid man seriously injured one police officer and two others sustained minor injuries. The 33-year-old faces charges of resisting arrest.
