Experience Circus Roncalli up close
When the curtain rises, a world of poetry, spectacular acrobatics, and powerful emotions unfolds: Circus Roncalli will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026—and is returning to Austria with its grand anniversary tour. The “Krone” is giving families the chance to experience this special circus event up close and is giving away a total of 30 family packages, including tickets, popcorn, and a meet-and-greet with the show’s stars.
Kronen Zeitung als bevorzugte Google-Quelle hinzufügen For half a century, Roncalli has stood for a very special form of circus art. Instead of a mere succession of spectacular acts, founder and circus director Bernhard Paul has always focused on a grand, cohesive production—featuring meticulous details, extraordinary costumes, music, humor, and acrobatics. On September 16, 2026, the curtain will rise on the anniversary program at the festive gala premiere in Vienna. Afterward, circus fans in other parts of Austria can also look forward to this special Roncalli experience.
Great Circus Artistry in the Ring
Of course, no anniversary celebration would be complete without extraordinary artists. One of them is Gensi, who is already in his 21st season with Roncalli, making him the longest-serving white clown in Roncalli’s history. The Catalan singer, actor, and musician sees his role as more than just making the audience laugh: he aims to “bring poetry to the ring.”
The Vitalys duo also leaves audiences in awe. Joel Yaicate Saavedra and Pablo Nonato Panduro perform spectacular hand-to-hand acrobatics, seemingly defying the laws of gravity time and again. For one of their most extraordinary feats, the two Peruvians even made it into the Guinness Book of World Records: in 2018, head-to-head, they conquered the 97 steps of Girona Cathedral in just 57 seconds.
