The topic of mobility leaves no Viennese indifferent. And it is also a hotly debated topic in politics. We asked the politicians.

For some, there are too many cycle paths, for others there are too few. Drivers complain about Vienna being a traffic jam hell, even though statistically we are in the middle of the European pack (or not moving due to traffic jams). Public transport never arrives, is constantly broken down, unreliable and far too hot in summer - although surveys show that the Wiener Linien are very popular.

The issue of traffic drives everyone to white heat at some point, whether justified or not. Even as a pedestrian, you can get annoyed if you have to queue for what feels like a quarter of an hour at a red light before you have 3.3 seconds to cross. The Lobau Tunnel shows just how much politicians can argue about the issue.
