The Austrian squad for the Ski World Championships in Saalbach has been announced. On Sunday, the ÖSV announced its 24-strong squad for the home spectacle.

The Austrian Ski Association nominated its team for the Alpine World Ski Championships in Saalbach Hinterglemm (February 4 to 16) on Sunday. There are eleven women and 13 men in the line-up, the maximum quota of 24 has thus been exhausted. The host country is led by Vincent Kriechmayr, Manuel Feller, Marco Schwarz, Cornelia Hütter and Katharina Liensberger.

Strolz, Matt and Gritsch are missing
Michael Matt, Johannes Strolz and Franziska Gritsch have not made the team. However, Otmar Striedinger and the technicians Katharina Gallhuber and Dominik Raschner are included for the speed area.

The nomination was made by the management of the ÖSV on the recommendation of the Alpine Skiing sports management. This consists of Alpine Director Herbert Mandl and the two head coaches Marko Pfeifer (men) and Roland Assinger (women). The first World Championship decision will take place on Tuesday (15:15) with the parallel team competition.
