Ultras confront BVB professionals after defeat

In addition to managing director Lars Ricken, Dortmund's fans also took their players to task after the 4:2 defeat against newly promoted Holstein Kiel. Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck and co. had to listen to a lot in front of the visitors' stand on Tuesday. 

As the players walked towards the fans' stand after the bitter defeat, a few supporters climbed over the fence to have a serious word with the professionals. Although the Holstein stadium security staff wanted to stop the chat, the players asked to let the Ultras pass.

"Embarrassing and disgraceful"
And so the professionals once again had to apologize for a disastrous performance. Managing director Lars Ricken also found clear words. "At the moment, with games like this, it's simply embarrassing and shameful and also unworthy of how we represent the black and yellow colors here," said the 48-year-old, not mincing his words.

It was the second defeat in a row for the Black & Yellows and they must win against Frankfurt on Friday if they are to keep their Champions League dreams alive for next season. And three points wouldn't hurt the relationship with the fans either ...
