Airport upgrades – with or without the city

Klagenfurt Airport needs money for investments, the Carinthian investment administration wants to contribute 5.3 million euros. Will Klagenfurt also participate in the capital increase, or will the city, with its financial problems, finally pull out of the airport project? The "Krone" has asked. 

After the call option, Klagenfurt held a 20 percent stake in the airport. As reported, however, Klagenfurt wants to pull out completely due to its financial difficulties. Because the city has 2.8 million euros outstanding since the last capital increase, the shares have also fallen to 8.6 percent. An additional 900,000 euros would therefore currently have to be contributed for new investments.
