The children of Hollywood stars Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are getting married. "We're engaged!!!" said a joint Instagram post by Jasmin Lawrence (28) and Eric Murphy (35). "God has blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn't be more excited about this new chapter."

In an accompanying video, the proposal can be seen in a room decorated with candles and roses. Petals lie on the floor, guitar players accompany the scene as Murphy gets down on one knee in front of Lawrence in a black suit.

Then he and Lawrence, who is wearing a tight-fitting black dress, pose for photos. "I'm engaged," Lawrence shouts into the camera at the end, showing off the ring on her finger.

Couple in a public relationship since 2021
According to the Los Angeles Times, the 28-year-old is the eldest of the three daughters of Martin Lawrence, who starred alongside Will Smith in the Bad Boys action series. Eric is the eldest of Eddie Murphy's ten children ('Beverly Hills Cop'). The couple made their relationship public in 2021 - also on Instagram.

However, the two did not meet through their fathers, as Lawrence told the magazine "InTouch" in an interview in 2022 - although the two made films together and were friends. "It's crazy, but we met through my uncle."
