Salzburg sushi institution closes for good

The Japanese restaurant Fujiya in Salzburg's Eberhard-Fugger-Straße is closing after several years. The restaurant has slipped into insolvency. 

According to the Alpenländische Kreditorenverband (AKV), the owners have now accumulated debts amounting to 130,000 euros.

Corona crisis exacerbated the situation
Since the corona crisis, the financial situation has become increasingly tense, according to the company. Most recently, the company was no longer able to meet an "unexpected tax claim".

Bankruptcy proceedings were opened at the regional court. According to AKV, there are no plans to continue operations.
