Several police patrols arrived at a residential building in the Mentlberg district of Innsbruck on Friday afternoon because men were allegedly handling weapons on a balcony. As it turned out, they were softguns - but the officers found even more in the apartment ...

Shortly after 2 p.m., the police received a report that two people were handling firearms on a balcony in Innsbruck-Mentlberg. Several police patrols then went to the apartment building and encountered a 28-year-old German and a Russian (29). It quickly emerged that the two had been handling airsoft long guns with accessories and sights.

The airsoft weapons were seized and a temporary weapons ban was issued against both persons.

The weapons were confiscated from the two men and a temporary weapons ban was issued. According to the police, there were no threats or similar criminal offenses.

However, the other finds that the officers made in the 28-year-old German's apartment were very relevant. They also seized herbal cannabis and drugs in tablet form.

The German and the Russian are now facing charges.
